Intro

Nirag is a seasoned finance professional with eleven years of experience in capital markets and three years of entrepreneurial experience. He has managed teams which raised capital for companies across a variety of industries, including aviation, natural resources, medical technology, financial technology, aviation, EV and oil and gas.

Nirag spent the last five years working at two investment banks, each focused on alternative investments in the private middle market. In this role, he structured and delivered financing for companies which did not fit the standard criteria for investment by commercial banks or private equity.

Nirag offers comprehensive client services; after delivering financing for a client, Nirag played an integral role in implementing corporate strategy, overseeing the deployment of capital, maintaining accounting records and handling investor relations functions for the client.

NCS Consulting is a natural progression from this role and relies deeply on the skills and relationships developed during this time.

Selected Work

Bear Valley Holdings (current):

In direct collaboration with the CEO and CFO of the second largest independent Alaskan construction and oilfield services company, initially provided strategic advice to management, and was quickly asked to be the Controller for three operating companies. Ongoing responsibilities include overseeing a four person accounting team, creating and maintaining a detailed cash flow forecasting tool, setting up and implementing internal accounting controls and professionalizing organizational and investment documents to prepare the company for a ten-million-dollar equity investment.

Eniware (previous):

Subsequent to raising capital for a pre-revenue company developing life-saving medical technology, assisted with various accounting, legal and financial responsibilities. Conducted a forensic accounting effort to correct prior year inconsistencies, assisted in effecting a set of policies to ensure prudent cash management, devised a budget and effected it via purchase orders and developed share transfer and debt to equity conversion documents amongst other responsibilities.

Straight Creek MetCoal (previous):

Reporting to the Executive Chairman, and in direct collaboration with the CEO, assisted in a complex restructuring and turnaround of an idled metallurgical coal mine in Eastern Kentucky. The company now sells its specialized product to a diverse set of domestic and international buyers and employs more than 200 individuals.
